Welcome to my Photoshop area.  (With some Bryce mixed in.)  This is pretty much everything I've ever done in PhotoShop (excluding the pictures I've lost over the years.)  I've been playing with it for about 4 years now as a hobby.  This web site (and it's predecessors) are products of my PhotoShop skills.  (That's not necessarily saying a whole lot.)  But I think I've made some pretty cool graphics, especially recently, so look around and enjoy.
(Note:  The only reason I'm in so many pictures is because I'm one of the only people who will pose for me.)

Be sure to check out Jon's Photoshop gallery as well.

I've had a bit of a rest from Photoshop...  This is the first Picture I've done in quite a while.  It's based on a white palette instead of black.  And it's much more subtle than some of my previous works.

I'm still deciding if I like it or not.  :)  Props to Gogyen for giving me an extension USB cable and allowing me to take these shots with my web-cam.

Some bryce shots of the inter-planer region of Illasdrin.  (It's a work in progress.  And yes, I'm a geek.)

I've been into glass orbs lately.  The orbs are supposed to represent worlds and the color represents the worlds alignment.  (Heaven above and hell bellow.)

A battle axe picture I did to try out some new techniques I learned.  Not to bad for a first try.

There's some great sites out there to help with various Photoshop effects.  If you're trying to learn, google can help you get hooked up.

My new desktop, inspired from the one I did for Gogyen.  (Kimball.)  It's 3840x1024 Cool dark picture.  I've recently added mist to this and the one bellow.
A gift for Gogyen's new computer.  Melkior is one of the 3 super computers from N.G.E.  (Balthazar is the second.)  Now we just need a Casper.
A montage shot I did right after installing PhotoShop 7.0.  I was playing with the different blending options to see what I could get.  It turned out alright, considering I only had a few source graphics to play with.
Source done in Bryce 5 with a massive amount of touch up in PhotoShop.  Considering it's a Bryce job, I'm very happy with how well it turned out.  Oh...  And this is now my Tri-head wallpaper.  (Props to TaoLung for the DragonStar Ship.)  (Note:  DragonStar is an Independent Film we hope to produce some day.)
1600x1200 | 1280x1024 | Original Bryce 5 Shot
Some experimental Bryce 5 graphics.  A floating island with a grove and wizard's tower on it.  Not the greatest quality, but I'm fairly happy with it.
More in the series of Glowing Eye pictures.  This time, I was playing with overlay types and color curves.  It was much easier this time around.  (And much better looking.)
A few logos I did for Thaumatergist.  The left one was just an experiment in using luminous overlays and an eye glow.  (Props to Rachel for the pic of her eye.)  The right one was actually built to Jason's specifications.  The pic is supposed to be 2 'K's facing each other.  (I didn't see it either till he pointed it out.)
Our Company Logo, Version 1.0.  (Digital Synapse Video Productions.)
One of my latest creations.  Props to TaoLung for the picture of himself.  This one has a little poem with it as well...  (Inspired by A.I.)
I had an idea to turn some old shots of TaoLung and I into a little comic bookish montage.  The original pics were pretty bad, but they look fine in B/W CrossHatched.  This idea needs more exploration.  You may see more of these.
This is one of my more recent projects.  It's a desktop wallpaper.  (Since there just aren't enough of those around...)  Has some WarCraft III images in it.  Small problem with the 'D' font, though.  Hopefully you won't notice it.  :)  Arron G. and I decided that Penitence would be a great name for a paladin's war hammer.
Updated:  I finally came back and updated this one with better colors, more fluid graphics and edges, and some enhanced effects.

A wallpaper I made with an image from Serial Experiments Lain.  Trippy anime.  I tried out some fun effects in it.  Found a few neat way to do light blurs and fluid surfaces.

I found this picture of TaoLung.  He'd done some Photoshoping on it, so I thought I'd give it a try.  Elf ears, glowing eyes, and the power of the world in his hand.
This is a logo I did for my friend Aaron M.  (Ash.)  It was for a joke website, but unfortunately, it was never used.
This was a fake plaque I made and printed for Mysti.  The fax machine where she works is overworked and we thought it was high time it had some recognition.

It was promptly torn down.

A little experiment in making truly 3D looking objects in Photoshop.  I think it turned out pretty well.
A small addition to the previous project.  I just couldn't resist.
This isn't an original work.  The foreground image was drawn by 2 other artists.  A favorite of mine from www.elfwood.com drew the elf.  The ear and glasses, however, are taken from a character drawn for the 'School books and brimstone' comic.  (Web-based.)  I just mixed them.  (This is my DnD character, Jerim Elsewhere the Wizard.)  The images behind him are my arcane mark.  (I know I know.  I'm a Geek.)  The marks are not very good, in my opinion, but I was in a big hurry.  The ears and glasses, however, blended vary well with a bit of effort.
This is an older one.  I saw a piece where someone had re-done Time Square with all their own text.  I thought I'd try my hand at it.  It's pretty good, though I think I could do better now.
This is an old one.  I got on a kick where I'd put an eerie glow in people's eyes.  This one turned out the best.  Please ignore the super-cheesy text.

This was a 10 minute test picture I did when I first installed PhotoShop 6.0.  For 10 minutes, it turned out very well.  It was my wallpaper for a long time.
This is a very old pic.  But a pretty good one.  Background done in Bryce by Jon.  (TaoLung.)  The trippy thing is the pic we started with.  Pretty messy.  Check it out here.
These were taken at TaoLung's old apartment.  I put Mysti and myself in the same frame and added a textured background.  And put a nifty flare on her sword.

Alternate version by Jonas (John S.)  [On Right]

These were an experiment in mixing Bryce 4 and PhotoShop 5.5.  Mysti's wearing a yellow sheet.  Unfortunately, we didn't know about semi-transparent borders when we did this one.  All well.  Jon did a lot on this one.
This is one of the first PhotoShop images I ever made.  And it SUCKS!  But here it is anyway.
This is a map I made up for our old DnD adventures.  (No longer used.)  It's freaking huge and took a very long time to build.
My old sig when I was on the Skycomish project at Intel.
And an ALL YOUR BASE half-life pic.  (Since I used to be a half-life addict.)

This was my old Internet Explorer bar.  It was sorta popular around Zebra.  (For those who don't know, it's Karigan from StarCraft Bood War.)  But I rarely play that anymore so...

This wouldn't be complete without a tribute to the ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US !! pics.  Here's a few.  (Original first, then edited version.)
