Morgan Engineering Company History

Peck Striping, Inc. has been a highway markings and removal company since 1986, when Dave Peck retired from Salt Lake County.  After 30 years working there as a striper, he started his own company with his son, Dave Jr.  In 1994, Dave and Dave Jr. sold the company to their General Manager, Russ Morgan, and his partner, Ken Campbell.    

Russ combined his 12 years of management experience with Ken Campbell and his 15 years of striping experience. 

Since then the company has grown to include 25+ employees, a sign shop, safety supply sales, and traffic control sales and rental.  Peck Striping also contracts the installation of signs, snow plow-able markers, and delineators. In 2000, Peck Striping added a sign and asset management division, Morgan Engineering.    

It was designed to offer a range of services, everything from creating a single Geographic Information System (GIS) layer for cities that already have a GIS, to creating an entire GIS system for smaller communities. 

Morgan Engineering uses GPS technology and ArcView software to create GIS layers and applications. These are used to assist municipalities in managing their assets (infrastructure) and other items.
